Diagramming - Actual Path
The second diagram is called an actual path diagram because it includes the aisles and actual paths material will travel in a layout to get from location to location.  This involves creating a path network and connecting each location in the layout to the path network.  This diagram is more interesting because it represents the actual travel distance and cost of implementing a layout.

Example Actual Path Diagram:

The diagramming engine tracks distance, cost, moves, and time for each scenario and saves the results for quick comparison.  We can quickly compare multiple scenarios in our scenario analyzer, allowing us to rapidly find the best layout for your organization.

Example Scenario Analyzer:

This experimental approach provides a means of scoring each alternative, and calculates the percent difference between specific alternatives.  It provides the information needed to make good layout decisions.
