The REM methodology is a culmination of superlative practices gleaned from 100’s of projects, developed and learned during the implementation stages, over a period of 14 years.  The powerful REM methodology is a result of scrupulous documentation of lessons learned and meticulous maintenance of our best practices repository.  At Rapid Modeling, through our focused mission to deliver powerful solutions to our clients, we are constantly improving and evolving our engineering methods and software tools.

To ensure the "perfect healthcare facility", the REM methodology applies lean principles to healthcare processes in a clearly defined and uniform process that utilizes advanced modeling tools and optimization engines.

The methodology applies lean principles to healthcare delivery systems in a defined and standardized methodology that utilizes advanced modeling tools and optimization engines to ensure the "perfect hospital".

Defining Objectives is where the process begins; allowing us to identify metrics that realistically measures performance vs. objectives.

Technical Design is the next stage in the development process, ensuring that the end product your Company needs is right on target. The technical design includes analysis of all resources, organization, data, and methods that are relevant to the realized objectives. Data and Process requirements are also delineated and thus – the first stage experimental framework is created, to isolate specific metrics and provide a solid and accurate starting point to proceed with experimentation.

Collecting Data includes collecting information from numerous sources and populating the database and process templates.  The use of standard process templates and database formats ensure complete, thorough, and timely completion.

Diagramming technology uses your facility layout, organizational chart, or schematics, to clearly define and display flow and variable relationships between locations.  Flow lines are scaled according to intensity, cost, or other variable metrics.  The diagramming techniques employed at REM, provide visual clarity and momentous perspectives, which cannot be achieved in any other format. Results are comprehendible, and offer a graphical snapshot of the patient and resource flow in your organization.

Simulation is a core feature with REM, offering potent technology that not only models the events of a process exactly the way they occur in real life; but more importantly allows us to analyze how the resources and system work together to produce products or services.  Experimental handles are built into the model that allows for total optimization of your system for maximum performance.  Full color animation delivers stunning proof of concept deliverables that include experimental handles, statistical reporting, and animation in run-time formats. These functions allow the end user to perform comprehensive experimentation long after the Rapid Modeling team is gone.  Your organization will be in complete control of monitoring, assessing and optimizing the flow within your department or company for years to come.

Plan of Action will be presented to each client in a detailed and easy to comprehend format; including our processes and techniques used in optimizing your healthcare facility and the REM recommendations for your organization, accompanied by a plan of action to incorporate the lessons learned into your system.
